Auqaf & Religious Affairs Department has prepared draft bill “Khatam-un-Nabiyeen University Lahore Bill 2022” regarding reconstruction of “The Punjab Institute of Qura’n and Seerat Studies” into “Khatam-un-Nabiyeen University Lahore” to provide an enabling environment for undertaking research and publications on the Qura’n and Seerat, to impart higher education in the fields of the Qura’n and Seerat and, to provide every opportunity for an all-round and harmonious development of individuals and society and reconstruction of human thought in all its form on the foundations of Islam, and deal with ancillary matters.
“Khatam-un-Nabiyyen University Lahore Bill, 2022”, having been passed by the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on 23.12.2022, and assented to by the Governor of the Punjab on 28.12.2022, was published as an Act of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on 30.12.2022.
