An extraordinary meeting of the Interfaith Harmony Punjab Committee regarding Muharram-ul-Haram was held at Darbar Hall, Civil Secretariat , under the auspices of the Auqaf Department.The meeting was chaired by Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, representing Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif. Provincial Ministers Mr.Khawaja Salman Rafique, Mr.Bilal Yasin, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, Mr.Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Mr.Bilal Akbar Khan, Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bharth, and Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani attendedÛ” The meeting was also attended by prominent scholars and spiritual leaders from all schools of thought, members of peace committees, religious leaders, Secretary Home Department Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi, Secretary Auqaf Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council Hafiz Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Maulana Syed Abdul Khabir Azad, Khateeb Data Darbar Maulana Mukhtar Ahmad Nadeem, senior police officials, and representatives of other law enforcement agencies.
