Auqaf Board meeting, chaired by Provincial Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, was held at the Psic House, Lahore. The Board deliberated on an eight-point agenda, while Secretary/Chief Administrator of Auqaf Punjab, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, gave a comprehensive briefing on the agenda items.The Board approved the budget estimates of the Auqaf Department for the current financial year. It also accorded approval for the recruitment of essential staff on a lump-sum pay basis for the Religious Affairs Wing and approved the job description for the newly created post of Director Agriculture.Furthermore, the Board approved the restoration of the fee structure for Data Darbar Hospital and sanctioned the launch of new commercial schemes of the Auqaf Department.The matter relating to the regularization of eight ad hoc employees of the Auqaf Department, or the provision of appropriate relief to them in accordance with the applicable rules and policy, was referred to the departmental committee for detailed consideration and recommendations.
