Punjab Minister for Auqaf and Religious Affairs, Chaudhry Shafay Hussain, inaugurated a state-of-the-art Command and Control Room at Awan-e-Auqaf and reviewed the digital monitoring system for shrines.On the occasion, Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta briefed the Auqaf Minister, explaining that the Command and Control Room has launched the digital monitoring of major shrines across Punjab. In the first phase, four shrines each in Lahore and Multan are being digitally monitored, while in the second phase, eight additional shrines across Punjab will be incorporated into the digital monitoring system.The Secretary Auqaf also briefed the Minister on the Command and Control Room and the reforms introduced within the department. He stated that the Command and Control Room operates 24 hours a day, with the deployed staff working in three shifts. He further informed that the staff had been provided with specialized training for one week to ensure the effective operation of the system.
