Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta visited Kasur city, where he paid his respects at the shrine of the renowned Sufi poet and saint Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA), offered Fateha, and prayed for the safety, stability and prosperity of the country and the nation. During the visit, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta formally inaugurated the “Baba Bulleh Shah Library & Gallery,” which features material on the life, history, philosophy, and religious and spiritual services of Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah (RA). He also inspected the historical photographs, archival material and other records displayed in the library and gallery. On the occasion, Dr. Ehsan Bhutta highly appreciated the special efforts and valuable contributions of former Director Archaeology Mr.Muhammad Hassan and Mr.Mubeen-ur-Rehman in establishing the library and gallery, and paid rich tribute to their services. During his visit, Secretary Auqaf Dr. Ehsan Bhutta also inspected the site earmarked for the Quran Mahal. He directed the Deputy Commissioner Kasur to identify and allocate a suitable hall for the respectful preservation and proper storage of old and worn-out pages of the Holy Quran, as well as their subsequent recycling in accordance with Shariah requirements. He emphasized that the sacred pages should be handled, preserved and disposed of in a proper, secure and dignified manner. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mr.Khalid Watto, Director Projects Auqaf Punjab Mr.Rafiq Noor Watto, officers of the Auqaf Department, officials of the district and local administration, and other distinguished personalities were also present on the occasion.
